the homes

The land will serve as the site for Weaving Water’s 24 contemporary, architect-designed homes, each with 970 - 1807 square feet and built sustainably using green building practices. Some of the homes have unfinished walk-out basements increasing their square footage. The homes have open plans and combine plentiful windows and natural light with warm, inviting materials. The green views and abundant light in each home have been designed to make the inhabitants feel that they are always connected to nature, and allow for ease of movement between indoor and outdoor spaces. the mentality

Weaving Water has a modern, creative outlook on exploring new possibilities for our built environment, and that modern approach is not just about the buildings themselves. Rather, as Laura Deam, Founder and CEO of Dwell Magazine reflects, “Modernism is an exploration of authenticity, materials, and function; it involves problem solving, testing different ideas, and expressing a little idiosyncrasy. Most important, it's about work that responds to the time in which we live.” Each building at Weaving Water is meant to reflect the ideals of a community-focused, nature-inspired lifestyle.

the neighborhood

Because the surrounding natural world is its most valuable asset, the neighborhood will incorporate many outdoor spaces,  including open clearings for play and gatherings, land for vegetable gardens and manicured beds, and forest nooks. All of this is walking distance to Eno River State Park trails.
